IATA - Dangerous Goods Regulations Course - cat. 3
Entry requirements:- Good knowledge of written English
Intended for:
- Transport and operations employees of agencies involved in international cargo air-transport
- Sales and marketing employees of cargo agencies
- Operations, sales, and reservations employees - and shippers and packers of airlines and air cargo companies
- A manufacturer’s shipping department employees, a wholesaler’s employees, importers and exporters
- Anyone wishing to work in the field of cargo air-transport
Objectives:
Participants will learn how to:
- Correctly apply IATA rules for Dangerous Goods
- Understand the legal aspects and responsibilities of shippers, agents and airlines involved in the transport of Dangerous Goods, and how to correctly identify and classify Dangerous Goods
- Ensure that the goods have been properly packed, marked and labelled
- Fill in and check the “Shippers Declaration for Dangerous Goods”
- Prepare an Air Waybill according to IATA rules
- Deliver consignments containing dangerous goods to airlines - ready to send

Exams:
- Administered by the IATA Aviation and Training Development Institute on four fixed dates every year - in March, June, September and December.
- Deadline for students to enroll in a course
- November for the March Exams session
- February for the June Exams session
- May for the September Exams session
- August for the December Exams session - Half a day - morning exam - One Paper – Acceptance exercises and use of IATA DGR Manual (3 hrs)
- According to the exam voucher (which a participant receives together with the study materials) each participant may choose from four offered exam dates within an 12-month period
- May be re-tried only once
- Are administered by the local IATA coordinator in Prague
Instructors:
- Holders of IATA/FIATA Cargo Introductory Course certificate, and Instructor Skills Certificate
- Have experience in the field
Diploma:
- Course participants will receive an internationally valid diploma upon the successful completion (passing) of the written exam
