31. 08. 2011 - “The Best of Europe” with Czech Airlines

Since the beginning of the week, Czech Airlines’ website has featured a unique offer of tickets to European cities.  The entire special is supported by a marketing campaign with the central slogan “The Best of Europe”, which the readers of selected media and on-line news portals will have also encountered recently, and not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad.

Ticket prices in this special offer start at CZK 2,499 and customers can choose from twenty European destinations. These include Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Barcelona, but also Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Oslo. These specially priced tickets are available to customers in another 26 foreign markets. 

The current sales special, supported by this marketing campaign, strives above all to increase ticket sales in the upcoming autumn and winter months, which are traditionally of less interest to clients. We are also focusing on further enhancing the on-line sales channel.

The ticket prices advertised are final and include all taxes and charges.  They are available to customers only on the Czech Airlines website www.czechairlines.com. The special is time-limited: tickets must be purchased by 4 September, for travel between 10 October and the end of February 2012.

Simultaneously with this offer, the marketing campaign “Fly to the other side of the world from Prague” is under way, focused on promoting and selling tickets on Czech Airlines’ long-haul flights to exotic destinations in South East Asia, South Africa, the Middle East, and Australia, with just one transfer in Abu Dhabi.

Since the beginning of September, the Czech Airlines website has also offered advantageous ticket prices even outside of the special autumn promo, with the new “Best Price Guarantee” service.  If within an hour of having purchased a ticket on the Czech Airlines website, a purchaser finds an identical electronic ticket* for a lower price on another website, and sends a “screenshot“ of that website, displaying the lower price, through a web form to http://www.csa.cz/cs/portal/CSA_EXTRA/extra_BPG2.htm, Czech Airlines will give him a refund of the price difference, in the form of a voucher for the purchase of his next ticket on Czech Airlines, and on top of that a 10% discount from the fare of the cheaper ticket.

* An identical electronic ticket must meet the following five criteria – it is for the same flight, the same travel class or product, the same flight dates and scheduled departure times, the same point of departure and arrival, and the same currency as on the Czech Airlines website.
