25. 10. 2011 - Philippe Moreels Will Be the President of Czech Airlines Miroslav Dvořák to Sit on the Supervisory Board
Prague, 25 October 2011
As of 1st November, Philippe Moreels, the current Chairman of the airline’s Management Board, will become the President of Czech Airlines. In that position he will replace Miroslav Dvořák, who will fully assume his duties in Český aeroholding as of the same date. But Miroslav Dvořák is not leaving Czech Airlines, for he will oversee its activities as the Chairman of the airline’s Supervisory Board.
These personnel changes are coming as planned. Czech Airlines announced them this March in connection with Miroslav Dvořák’s election as the Chairman of the Management Board of the newly set up Český aeroholding.
Outcomes of Meetings of the Airline’s Bodies
Today, an Extraordinary General Meeting of Czech Airlines approved the plan to transfer 100% of Czech Airlines’ shares in its subsidiaries to Český aeroholding. This represents another step along Český aeroholding’s path to its planned structure. The first Czech Airlines subsidiary to be integrated into the Český aeroholding structure will be Czech Airlines Handling.
The Extraordinary General Meeting also decided, effective 1st November, to end Michal Mejstřík’s as the Chairman of Czech Airlines’ Supervisory Board, electing Miroslav Dvořák as a new member of that body. The Supervisory Board is expected to elect Michal Dvořák as its chairman at its first November meeting. Michal Mejstřík will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Český aeroholding, to which he was elected this March.
