25. 10. 2007 - Czech Airlines to Offer Tourists a New Exotic Winter Destination – El Salvador

Prague, 25 October 2007

In its winter schedule, Czech Airlines will offer tourists a new exotic destination – El Salvador.  From December to May, the Airline will carry the passengers of the tour operator Exim Tours on a direct flight from Prague to San Salvador, for stays in luxury hotels along the Pacific coast.  Czech Airlines will operate the flight approximately every ten days.

This will be the first time on the Czech market that charter flights have been offered to the beaches of San Salvador,” said Czech Airlines Vice-President for Sales, Petr Řehák.  Aside from this innovation, the clients of Czech tour operators can look forward to our traditional charter flights to Varadero, Cuba; to the Caribbean island Isla Margarita; or to La Romana in the Dominican Republic.

Czech Airlines is the only carrier on the Czech market to offer a direct connection to these remote destinations, by using a proper long-haul aircraft – an Airbus A310.  In-flight services on board of Czech Airlines include warm meals and non-alcoholic beverages.  On long-haul flights, passengers can choose from two classes.  In the higher travelling class, Comfort, in addition to the standard rich services, they will receive a welcome drink, have greater options of meal selection, can order alcoholic beverages, and can use priority check-in at Prague Airport and the VIP airport lounge.  During the flight, passengers in the higher class can entertain themselves by reading dailies or watching an individual video player.

As for its traditional destinations in Egypt, Czech Airlines will fly to Hurghada, Taba, and Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea, for its partners – Czech tour operators.  In the Canary Islands, Czech Airlines will fly the clients of tour operators to Las Palmas in Grand Canaria, and to Tenerife.  Czech Airlines will deploy the modern Airbus A321 or Boeing 737 aircraft on its flights to Egypt and the Canary Islands.

New Offer for Families with Children
In the winter season, Czech Airlines will introduce apriority check-in option for families with children, for its passengerson charter flights flying out of Prague Airport.  For all Czech Airlines charter flights, one of the check-in counters will always be marked as priority, for families with small children.  “We tested the option of priority check-in for families with children at the end of the summer season.  Our clients accepted this new service with enthusiasm,” said Czech Airlines Director for Charter Flights, Zdeněk Prejzek.

Aside from providing flights for tour operators from the Czech Republic, Czech Airlines also successfully offers its charter flights to foreign clients.  Foreign tour operators, as well as sports teams and companies, use Czech Airlines’ services with increasing frequency.  The share of flights for foreign clients, of the aggregate number of Czech Airlines charter flights, has been continuously increasing in recent years.  Presently, it ranges at around 40 percent.
