24. 09. 2008 - Czech Airlines Offers Complementary Airport Shuttle Service to Its Business Premium Class Travelers
Prague, September 24, 2008
Czech Airlines has introduced a new service for passengers with Business Premium class tickets – a complimentary Prague Airport shuttle service. Passengers who require transportation to or from the airport in Prague and surrounding communities can call a special Czech Airlines customer service line (239 007 240), where they can book a no-cost taxi ride to and from the airport. Czech Airlines is introducing this new benefit in response to a customer survey, as part of its effort to better serve the needs of its business customers.
This complimentary airport shuttle service has been available to passengers as of the middle of September. The service is available to all passengers with Business Premium tickets on an OK coded flight. These include tickets in the two highest tariff classes, which have the most flexible travel terms and conditions. In the majority of cases, the shuttle service is provided using comfortable Volkswagen Passat or Skoda Octavia sedans.
"Part of Czech Airlines' long-term business strategy has been to focus on business travelers - those who fly regularly and expect a high level of service. This complimentary airport shuttle service is a new addition to the already extensive range of benefits that Czech Airlines offers its Business Premium class travelers," said Petr Pištělák, the airline's Vice-President for Marketing and Development. The biggest difference between Business Premium class and other ticket classes is the level of travel flexibility. A Business Premium ticket can be changed or cancelled by the passenger at anytime at no additional cost. Passengers traveling in this flight class are also allowed to bring onboard additional carry-on luggage and they have a higher maximum weight limit for checked baggage. Business class tickets also earn more miles in the OK Plus frequent flyer program.
Additionally, business class passengers have access to airport lounges, priority check-in, priority security and passport screening, priority boarding and deboarding, priority luggage unloading, etc.
After boarding a flight, business class passengers are offered a welcome drink and their section of the cabin also has an ample wardrobe area. Business class seats offer a higher level of comfort than those in economy. The spacing between the individual rows of seats is greater, which gives passengers additional leg room and the seats are also wider. Business class seating in selected aircraft is also equipped with individual onboard entertainment systems. Passengers traveling in this class are offered an upgraded menu featuring a greater selection of meals and beverages, including premium domestic and international wines. A wide selection of alcoholic beverages is also available. The Czech Airlines' business class menu is prepared in partnership with the Czech Culinary Association and the Czech Association of Sommeliers assists the airline with its beverage selections. With the arrival of the winter flight schedule on October 26, business class passengers will be able to look forward to a brand new menu.
The New Services Are in Demand
The online check-in option, which Czech Airlines introduced last year, and which is currently available for flights originating out of Prague and 30 additional cities, has become especially popular with the airline's business class passengers. The complimentary luggage shrink wrapping service introduced by Czech Airlines this last June at the Prague airport has also been becoming increasingly popular. "We are confident that our complimentary airport shuttle service will also become popular with Czech Airlines' business passengers," summed up Pištělák.
