Prague, 20 April 2007
At an awards ceremony held yesterday in the Danube House in Prague, Czech Airlines (CSA) awarded the Sirius Awards to their most significant business partners. Travel agencies and tour operators are indispensable to CSA in ticket sales. Last year, they sold 65 percent of all of the airline’s tickets sold in the Czech Republic.
American Express ranked first among IATA* agencies, with the largest number of tickets sold on the Czech market. Firo Tour was announced as the ticket sales winner in the category of non - IATA travel agencies. In charter carriage, CSA judged Exim Tours to be the best tour operator. The prize for the best cargo sales agent went to Schenker. The title as the most improved of the year is shared by three companies, based on the volume of their sales: Orbix, Fractal, and Senator Travel.
“These awards are handed out as expressions of our gratitude to our business partners. We trust firmly that they also serve to motivate them for further cooperation,” said CSA’s Vice-President for Sales, Petr Řehák.
All of the companies that received Sirius Awards in the first four categories regularly take the top spots among the best CSA ticket sales agents, which stands as testament to our mutual long-term and successful business cooperation.
