16. 11. 2009 - Czech Airlines’ Flight Operations to be Led by Marek Týbl

Effective December 2009, Capt. Marek Týbl, the present Head of the fleet and Head Pilot of the Czech Airlines ATR fleet, will be the new Czech Airlines Vice-President of Flight Operations. As at the day on which he assumes his new post, Marek Týbl has nine years of experience at Czech Airlines under his belt, and more than 4,600 hours flown on aircraft on short-, medium-, and long-haul flights.
“Marek Týbl won the selection process organised for Czech Airlines by a specialised agency. The task was to find a true professional with good experience and a demonstrable track-record in people management. Marek Týbl meets all those parameters completely,” said the Chairman of the Management Board and President of Czech Airlines, Miroslav Dvořák, adding: “Today, as well, the new head of marketing and sales, Philippe Moreels, is taking up his new post, and I am very pleased that the new team can now work under full steam.”
|Marek Týbl (34) has worked at Czech Airlines since 2000. After his studies at the Czech Technical University and the obtaining of his pilot licence, he flew as a First Officer on Czech Airlines’ medium-haul, long-haul, and overseas flights. For the last four years, he has worked as an aircraft crew commander on regional routes. He has also been the Head of the fleet and the Head Pilot of the ATR fleet. As at the day of assuming his position as the Vice-President of Flight Operations, Marek Týbl has over 4,600 flight hours behind him, of which 2,000 have been on Boeing B737s, 1,000 on Airbus A310s, and 1,500 flight hours as the Captain of turbo-propeller ATRs.|
As the Vice-President of the Flight Operations Division, Marek Týbl will be responsible primarily for the optimisation of flight crew planning and overall harmonisation of the operative management of flight operations.
