15. 12. 2008 - At Christmas Time, Czech Airlines Will Boost Service, Primarily to Russian Destinations and the Middle East

At Christmas time and at the end of the year, Czech Airlines will boost a number of flights to the most sought-after destinations, primarily in Russia and the Middle East. On the other hand, routes that are in less demand will be temporarily reduced during the holiday season. Passengers flying to such destinations as Paris, Manchester, and Copenhagen, or to Tel Aviv or Athens, will have Christmas Eve dinner on board of Czech Airlines aircraft. Passengers on the flights from Prague to Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Cairo will enjoy a New Year’s Eve toast on board of Czech Airlines.
Christmas operations will commence on 20 December, and the boost or, on the other hand, reduction of certain flights will continue into January 2009, based on customer demand. Specifically, the flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg, as well as the new connection to Rostov-on-Don, will be bolstered, but also the service to Athens and Beirut. Czech Airlines will deploy higher capacity aircraft on its flights to Dublin, Damascus, Rome and Milan. On the other hand, domestic flights and flights to Slovakia will be reduced, as well as the connections to Brussels and Copenhagen. On Christmas Eve, Czech Airlines will have a number of scheduled flights in the air. Shortly after midnight, charter flights to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and to Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt will also take off.
The New Year will be welcomed on board by passengers headed from Prague to Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Cairo. Czech Airlines will launch the first day of 2009 with the departure of flights to Budapest, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, and Manchester.
During the Christmas holidays, Czech Airlines always notes the greatest demand several days before Christmas Eve, when people are travelling home. After a quiet period in travel over Christmas, there is a peak before New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, on 28, 29, and 30 December. After the New Year holidays, most passengers probably return home, testimony to which are fuller aircraft on the first days of the New Year.
Czech Airlines charters carrying Czech tourists will primarily fly to Egyptian resorts during the holidays. In addition to Hurghada, Czech Airlines aircraft will also land in Sharm el-Sheikh and Taba. In addition, charter flights to the Canary Islands and to exotic destinations in the Caribbean are being prepared. The clients of foreign travel agencies will be carried to Prague by Czech Airlines aircraft, primarily from Greece and Italy. Before Christmas, the Czech Airlines charter department will, as usual, operate flights to visit Santa Claus, to the Lapland resorts of Enontekio and Kittila, for Irish and British families.
The Christmas atmosphere on board Czech Airlines aircraft got underway in early December. During Advent, passengers can listen to Christmas carols and also our aircraft interiors are sporting Christmas decorations.
