15. 08. 2007 - CSA Simplifies Ticket Purchasing for Convention Participants

Prague, 15 August 2007

From this August, Czech Airlines (CSA) offers convention participants an on-line ticket purchase option, via a simple Internet application.  Foreign attendees of large international conventions or major cultural and sport events, for which CSA is the official carrier, are thus able to obtain their tickets via the Internet, without having to visit a CSA sales point.

Participants in these large international events “fly in” to the convention venue from various countries, from all over the world; often even from countries where CSA does not have its own sales office.  The new on-line convention application offers an option to register under the convention’s code, and to purchase a ticket at preferential conditions, directly on the Internet.  The offer applies to flights in the CSA network, i.e., to 104 destinations in 44 countries.  CSA is one of the few airlines to offer this option.

By the end of the year, this on-line ticket purchase option will be available to the attendees of the most prestigious international conventions and conferences held in the Czech Republic.

Aside from this special new Internet application, which will be available for convention participants in the CSA network, the Airline also participates in the convention offering of the SkyTeam airline alliance, the so-called Global Meetings.  Ten alliance members are offering connections to nearly 750 destinations, in 150 countries worldwide.

CSA’s convention offer is one of the many innovations designed primarily for the corporate clientele.  Business travellers especially welcomed the Internet check-in option introduced by CSA in June.  In May, the Airline also made its tariff structure more comprehensible, so that passengers can easily recognise flexible tickets, suitable primarily for business travellers.
