09. 11. 2009 - Air Training Experts to Convene in Prague

Prague, 9 November 2009

For the first time ever, Czech Airlines will host the European Airline Training Symposium (EATS 2009).  The eighth annual conference will be held on 10 and 11 November 2009 at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague’s Vysočany.

More than fifty airlines have registered thus far. “It is a great honour for us to hold this event,” said Miloš Kvapil, Director of Air Crew Training at Czech Airlines, adding: “After this symposium has been held in other major European metropolises, now Prague is getting its opportunity. The world’s leading experts will present the latest innovations and trends in aviation training here.  For Czech Airlines, this conference will be a great opportunity to show off our own training centre to other potential customers.”  For a detailed programme of the conference, including the list of speakers and their topics, please see the following link:

The conference will focus on a broad range of topics, from the latest simulation technologies and training methods, as well as airspace integration and innovations in aviation regulation, through to European legislation and regulation, and the environmental impact of aviation, and others. The domestic experts speaking at the symposium will include Vladimír Horák, from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic; Jan Klasor, the General Manager of the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic; and Miloš Kvapil, the Director of Air Crew Training at Czech Airlines. The conference participants will obtain a comprehensive overview of the most recent developments in the field.

The event will include an exhibition featuring examples of the work of nearly forty major producers of flight simulators and training programmes as well as training centres – for example the Oxford Aviation Academy, Airbus, and Boeing.
