05. 12. 2007 - Czech Airlines Declared Best Airline in Central and Eastern Europe

Czech Airlines has been selected the “Best Airline in Eastern and Central Europe”. This award has been given to Czech Airlines by the US-based Business Traveler magazine based on the results of an annual reader poll. In the poll, the respondents rated for example airlines’ onboard service and their range of destinations. The gala evening at which the prizes will be handed over will be held on 17 January 2008 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles, California.


The fact that Czech Airlines has won this prestigious award is important news for our current and future clients. It proves that our company pays permanent attention to the quality of the services we offer. Czech Airlines again confirmed this a few days ago by finishing first in the on-time rankings of the Association of European Airlines,” said Czech Airlines Vice President for Marketing and Product Development Petr Pištělák.

Business Traveler is a leading business and corporate travel publication. It is published ten times a year and has a print run of 150,000 copies for the North American market. "As a leading authority on business and corporate travel, Business Traveler's readership comprises the most experienced and discerning travelers in the marketplace today. Their selection of Czech Airlines represents a tremendous vote of confidence in the airline, a positive endorsement from high value, repeat customers who understand and appreciate their product“, said the Business Traveler editor Linda Vaughn.

The SkyTeam Alliance also won an award from Business Traveler magazine. According to its readers it was the best airline alliance in 2007. Czech Airlines has been a member of SkyTeam since 2001.

Business Traveler magazine ascertains its readers’ opinions in accordance with the standard rules for public opinion research. The group of respondents comprises a representative sample of approximately two thousand subscribers to the magazine.

Czech Airlines has won several awards this year. It was declared Best Airline Based in Central and Eastern Europe for the fourth time by the Official Airline Guide, based on voting by the professional public. Another significant award for Czech Airlines was the title Best Airline in Central Europe in World Airline Award contest. At the start of this year, Czech Airlines also won, for the seventh time, the title of Best Airline at the TTG Travel Awards 2007, run by the professional magazine TTG Czech. In addition to this, Czech Airlines won a special Gender Studies award in a competition to find the best company with equal opportunities for women and men, and finished among the seven best companies in the Hotels and Tourism professional category in the Czech Top 100.
