03. 07. 2008 - The Czech Airlines Sales Premises Receive a Design Award

Prague, 3 July 2008

The interior of the Czech Airlines sales outlet in the Centre of Prague won a design prize for 2007.  An expert jury awarded it a prize for its graphic design, holding in especially high esteem the large light panel located in Czech Airlines’ largest sales premises.  The award-winning project was created for Czech Airlines by Story Design.

The light panel as well as the shop interior and room design boast Czech Airlines corporate colours – white with red and grey accents.  It also suits the modern look of the shop, which underwent a successful renovation exactly a year ago.  The overall design is inspired by flying – e.g., desks and light fixtures are in the shape of a wing.  The entire space is very airy and supplemented with dynamic graphics.  Czech Airlines is gradually adapting all of its sales outlets, aircraft, websites, printed materials, etc., in the new corporate colours.

The ground floor of the largest Czech Airlines sales outlet in the centre of Prague boasts six counters for standard customers and on the top level are 13 counters for Gold, Silver, and Platinum Card holders in the Czech Airlines frequent flyer programme OK Plus, and for travel agencies and corporate clients.

Aside from the largest sales outlet on V Celnici Street, Czech Airlines operates another four of its own outlets in the Czech Republic – at Prague Ruzyně Airport, and in Brno, Karlovy Vary, and Ostrava.

The Rainbow Ray Prize
The Rainbow Ray Prizes have been awarded since 2004 by the Association of Sign-making Suppliers and Sign magazine, as a part of the Advertising – Printing Fair.  Czech Airlines won the award for the best sign-making project realised in 2007.  Entries are professionally evaluated by a 15-member jury of the Association of Sign-making Suppliers; this year’s jury included major marketing figures such as Jitka Vysekalová and Jiří Mikeš.
