02. 07. 2009 - Czech Airlines Will Help Passengers in Difficulties

Prague, 1 July 2009

Czech Airlines is offering a solution to all passengers who have purchased a ticket from any of the selected carriers before 30 June 2009, and who get into difficulties or fear getting into difficulties.  Upon the submission of their original booking and subject to a 50 euro fee, they can use the next Czech Airlines flight to the relevant destination.

Czech Airlines is not changing its business strategy.  We see the current offer rather as a helpful hand extended to those passengers who are currently finding themselves in a complicated situation or might fear that they cannot avoid one.  We are offering a simple solution and the certainty of an established carrier,” said Petr Pištělák, Czech Airlines’ Vice President for Marketing, adding:  “Rather than a new programme, this is a one-time offer of assistance.  Business passengers continue to be our primary target group.

Taking advantage of Czech Airlines’ offer is simple.  A passenger with a valid ticket from his original carrier only needs to contact the Czech Airlines Call Centre at 00420 239 007 007, or visit Czech Airlines’ desk at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 at Prague Airport, and book for the next available flight with Czech Airlines.  The passenger will pay a fee of 50 euros each direction and, if a seat is available on a Czech Airlines flight, he can fly to his destination.  The Czech Airlines ticket can be issued no earlier than 24 hours before the originally planned departure.

Passengers can use Czech Airlines flights to the following destinations: Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Brussels, Budapest, Cologne/Bonn, Copenhagen, Frankfurt-am-Main, Heraklion (Crete), Larnaca, London-Heathrow, Manchester, Milan, Oslo, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Rome, Split, Stockholm, Thessalonica, and Venice.  The special offer applies to tickets valid from 1 July through 31 December 2009 issued by the following carriers: bmibaby, Clickair, easyJet, Germanwings, Norvegian, Ryanair, SkyEurope, Smart Wings, and WizzAir. The tickets issued in this special will not be eligible for miles or points in any Czech Airlines motivational or loyalty programme.
