24. 1. 2007 - Czech Airlines cancels 45 flights, airport closed

Prague, 24 January 2007, 10:00 CET

Czech Airlines (ČSA) had to cancel 45 flights this morning due to closed Prague Airport. Passengers are being informed. ČSA offers them free of charge rebooking for later departures or refund of their tickets. Prague Airport has cancelled all operations due to heavy snow fall at 3:35 a.m. It is expected to reopen at 4 p.m. today. Continued heavy snow falls are expected.

ČSA aircraft bound for Prague from Yekaterinburg diverted to Brno this morning. The ČSA flight from Tel Aviv is expected to land in Brno or Bratislava, and the charter flight from Varadero will be diverted to Frankfurt. Four flights from Bratislava, Brno, Ostrava and Košice could not return to Prague this morning.
