4. 4. 2006 - ČSA Awards Their Most Highly Valued Business Partners

During yesterday's evening gala held at the Slovanský Dům in Prague, Czech Airlines presented the Sirius awards to its key business partners. First place, in terms of the number of tickets sold in 2005, went to American Express. The Exim Tours travel agency was ČSA's top partner in terms of charter bookings.
The Firo Tour travel agency was awarded first place for the sale of tickets in the category of travel agents not registered with IATA* and the Schenker logistics company was selected as the top firm in the area of cargo transportation.
"The awards that were presented are not only an expression of our gratitude toward our business partners but we are also convinced that they serve to provide a motivation for the continuation of such partnerships", said Marcela Hrdá, ČSA Vice President for Sales and Marketing.
An ongoing and successful business partnership is also evidenced by the fact that all of the partners that were recognized with the Sirius award in the four different categories have been in top positions in the past.
Travel agents are irreplaceable when it comes to the sale of tickets for travel on ČSA. Last year, travel agents were responsible for 76 % of all tickets sold. Electronic tickets have been becoming increasingly popular with our travelers and in December of last year, their share of all tickets sold exceeded 30 %. In 2005, 10 % of all tickets sold were purchased in an electronic form.
