Prague, 15 September 2004
Today, Czech Airlines received final bids for supplies of twelve medium-haul new generation aircraft from Boeing and Airbus. The carrier also received final bids from engine makers - International Aero Engines and CFM International.
The bids will be analysed over the following days, using a model prepared by CSA and McKinsey&Company financial adviser. The model uses the Net Present Value method of bid evaluation. The economic effectiveness for CSA will be decisive in the final decision making process.
30 October 2004 is an important milestone in acquiring new generation aircraft, CSA plans to conclude the contract with the selected manufacturer and thus initiate actions in order to introduce first new generation aircraft in 2005.
